i miss sam.
i really do, i think my sam year's my favourite school year ever. don't get me wrong, i love my friends at uni too, but uni is just so stressful and i love my sec and primary school friends, but nothing beats college life.
i fought hard to convince my parents to let me go to taylor's, and in the end, it was worth every single tear, sweat and blood. i've never once regretted choosing sam over spore a levels. sure, i wonder sometimes what it would be like to study in vj, but i've never felt sad about giving that up. on the contrary, i'm very glad i did.
anyway this post is dedicated to my sam classmates. :)
on 27th december, we met up for the first time since jas and albert came back from australia! coincidentally, it was albert's (and ginny's) birthday. the plan was that we play futsal for an hour and then we go out for dinner together, where we'll surprise albert with a birthday cake! (oh, ginny couldnt make it, otherwise it would've been a double celebration) sadly, the birthday boy's family had other plans for him so in the end, after our futsal game, the rest of us went to ... *drumroll* asia! (where else?)

and on last saturday, we had another gathering. it wasnt easy trying to find a day that everyone's free ... in the end, jas and gaylord couldnt make it also. :( we were supposed to have lunch at tgif but i had a sneaking suspicion that these guys were planning to make me stand on the chair for the infamous tgif birthday celebration! haha luckily i managed to figure it out on time and we had lunch at jack's place instead. took us an hour just to decide where to eat. and that's after we took ages deciding which mewvie to watch (eventually we settled on meet the spartans after jay protested profusely against sweeney todd).

we finished lunch just in time for our mewvie. unfortunately, due to some miscommunication, yun yun wasnt informed about it until well, ten minutes before our show. so yun yun had to rush like a madwoman from subang to sunway pyramid. albert offered to wait for her while the rest of us go in first, but of course we couldnt let him do that. so we waited outside, laughing and talking until we got tired. then i suggested that we leave yun yun's ticket at the counter and tell her to collect it from there. pity i didnt think of that earlier. :/
on the way in,
me: pei pei, what time is it now?
pei pei: it's 1545, we're half an hour late for the show.
me: haha pei pei, u're very funny la. (if u know pei pei, she loves making statements like that so i didnt believe her)
pei pei: really lah, look. *pei pei shows me her watch*
me: *glances at it and accidentally read it as 1520* ahahaha see, it's only ... *looks at time on handphone* SHITTTTTTTTTTTTT it's really 1540!
and we forgot to tell yun yun that her ticket is at the counter too. i wanted to sms her as soon as we were inside but there wasnt any signal. then i tried to tell albert but he couldnt hear me and i figured that if yun yun was there, she'd call one of us. somehow it didnt cross my mind that all of our handphones didnt have signals, i thought it's just one of those temporarily no signal thing that sometimes happen to phones.
about fifteen minutes later, pei pei was like, eh? has yun yun called anyone yet? i shook my head no, then pei pei went out to call yun yun. yun yun's so lucky that pei pei remembered, otherwise she would've missed out on the whole show.
another fifteen minutes later, the mewvie ended.
yun yun: wat?! my seat isn't even warm yet!
haha poor yun yun. poor the rest of us too. sigh. i guess next time we shouldnt just assume that someone has already informed somebody else, it's better to clarify things first.
after the mewvie, albert insisted that we go to haagen daz. when we got there, suddenly all the guys (except for cuz) decided that they needed to go to the toilet. i didnt even suspect anything until albert called cuz to ask the rest of us to go down to secret recipe. but yun yun was like, not nice lah, we've been sitting here for quite a while plus they've already handed us the menu and all. even then i didnt suspect anything. in the meantime, yun yun, pei pei and i were busy camwhoring with cuz's phone and trying to change his wallpaper, when suddenly the guys popped out with a secret recipe cake! i was so surprised and touched at the same time.

my friends know me so well. or else they're just really good guessers. hahaha
since we didnt get albert a cake, he got to blow the candles out with me! haha so fun, i've never shared a birthday cake with anyone before.
